This is what is on my design wall for now.
I've slowly been working on my curves blocks.  I've had them up on my design wall forever it seems.  Every time I go back to my room I stop and move a couple around to make the setting "just right".
Well for goodness sake!!  How perfect can it get anyway?
I finally decided all the moving around really didn't make a whole lot of difference so I'm now sewing it together.  I think I'm going to add a small black stop border and then do a 5" or 6" piano key scrappy border using all the different fabrics.
BTW.... Sorry about the pic laying on it's side.  I don't want to go back and straighten it.  Those are really my closet doors that I have batting attached to.

  1. I love your circle quilt!! Isn't it nice to finally call 'er good and turning it into a finished top? Your idea for a border sounds good to me :0)

  2. I keep putting off the curved piecing project I want to do....an orange peel, I'm sure I'd get the hang of it I did a dozen blocks. Your's looks great! Love the colors.
BTW the smallest triangles are 1" finished. Really not bad the way I'm making them.

  3. Oh my gosh! Too funny! I made a quilt like this for my daughter in all blue and green floral fabrics. I did the same thing. Moved the blocks again and again and again before I could decide. It sure is pretty. I saw one at a quilt show in blacks and reds. Hmmm. Maybe another project.

  4. Hi Linda. I love your quilt. I've used the crazy curves templates! I made a black/red and white one and have all the circles sewn for one using the Morris workshop fabric but haven't started playing with it yet. I mix the 7" and the 3.5" circles. Aren't they the fastest curves and so addictive!
And I did the same thing-kept moving them around, you could go nuts doing that!

  5. I love your Bom from Shannon's blog, I'm doing that one too. I like your black background, wish I would have used something like that--too late now tho.

  6. Ooh, I have some of the circle templates as well. And after a few test runs realized: me and curves don't mix... Love and admire anybody who gets it!

  7. I have the templates, too. I think I will try one this year, sometime. I really like circles and how they interplay.
