But since this snuggle has been made with specialty fabrics I had a LOT of leftover pieces after I had finished the top. I really didn't want to put all of those pieces into my scrappy stash ..... Sooooo my only solution was to piece the pieces and come up with some semblance of a designed backing.
(Two quilts in one kinda thing).
This is what I came up with.....
| Just checking to make sure it will be wide enough to cover the quilt completely. |
| TA DA!!  One backing finished and ready to take to my quilting gals so they can do their magic. |
But for now..... Have a great day. And stitch happy!

Love scrappy backs they give a special touch and character to a quilt, nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI do like them most of the time. I just don't like taking the time to get them made. lol But I'm glad I did for this quilt. Thanks for your comment and for coming by.
DeleteGreat way to use up those scraps.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate. Since I had so many small tumblers already cut I was glad this came together like I planned. Glad you stopped by.
DeleteI like your scrappy back - and the "two quilts in one kinda thing" - it truly makes it "one of a kind". He is SURE to love it!! - ;))
ReplyDeleteThanks Kitty. Yes I know he will love it. After all it's green and John Deer. For him that's all there is! LOL
