A & B's Wedding....

I haven't had anything to show lately since all I've been doing is cutting, trimming, un-sewing, re-sewing, and slowly trying to get all the points just right.
I really don't want any of those little points to go hiding in the seam (like mine tend to do so often) so I'm very patiently working and reworking some of them.   And I must say it is taking me forever it seems.
And since this is a very special quilt I really want it to be one of my best.

All 56 blocks are now made and I'm starting to sew them together.

And here's a closer pic of the Shoo Fly block.

There's just a subtle fabric change in each of the blocks.  Sorry it doesn't show that well in these pictures but in real life the fabrics are really nice.

Now .... back to sewing.  I wonder how long it will take me to get the blocks sewn together????
And even though I'm a day late I'm still going to link to Judy's Design Wall Monday.
See you there.
I hope you're having a great day. Glad you stopped by.....Linda

  1. Your blocks look great. Sometimes I'm fanatical about points and other times it's who cares? But for a special quilt fanatical wins hands down! Hope it is smooth piecing for you as you get the blocks done.

    1. Thanks Bonnie. I had to laugh because I'm the exact same way about "who cares". I do try but if the quilt is just a knock around I tend to just want to get it done. This one however, is the first quilt I've actually re-sewn a seam that fell less than 1/32nd of an inch off. Yeah I'd call that fanatical too.
But I know it will be cherished and I want it to be worthy.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Thanks Billie. I'm sewing the blocks into rows now and it's going slow. But I'm enjoying the process.

    1. Thanks Kate. The pictures don't really do the fabrics justice. They are much prettier in real life. And I love how calming they are. Thanks for stopping by.
