I can stay home now....

photo laughingcutie.gifToday is the first day of a nice long week that I don't have to drive to a Dr appt for either hubby or myself.   And I am thrilled!!  ;o)

On those days that I have to spend around four hours out of the house traveling to and from appointments I don't get very much accomplished when I get back home.  So.... I haven't had much to show or talk about.  I can pretty much bet that you don't want to read all about my health ups & downs.

How about I tell you about the latest Pinterest dinner I made.  OMGosh it was soooo good.   It's called:  Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glazed Pork.    I used a pretty big Pork Tenderloin roast and my large crock pot.  A first for me.... Balsamic Vinegar.  Oh My Yumm!!   I served mashed potatoes and sauteed onions, zucchini and summer squash.

Now I'm off to spend the day with my sewing machine.  I have all the blocks made for the snuggle I'm working on so now I just need to get the rows sewn together while I ponder the borders.  I've a couple of ideas... just need to settle on one.

I hope you're having a great day. Glad you stopped by.....Linda

  1. YAY for not having to drive to Dr appts!! Your recipe sounds interesting - Balsamic vinegar would be a first for me, too. Can't wait to see the snuggle - and whatever border you decide to put on it - ;))

  2. Some weeks are like that aren't they? Doc appt's for two folks can do that in a big hurry when we uh, reach a certain age.

LHQ told me that you had a good pork recipe as coincidentally I was thinking about grilling one and had mentioned it to her. Like minds? I also did roasted veggies last night but used zukes instead. Usually I stir fry it but changed it up. Often I mix zukes and summer squash but these were some that originally were slated for another dish.

I will try this though---I have an excellent recipe for roasted chicken with garlic and balsamic vinegar------excellent when you don't mind the oven being on for hours. That would NOT be now, not in the south.

    1. The same here in Kansas! No ovens with this heat we've had. That's why I bring out the crock pot now and then. I'd love to have your recipe for that chicken.
      Thanks for coming by Linda.
