My Wall....

I finally finished the pineapple top yesterday.  It measures about 40" square.
I know it's taken me forever but I just haven't been feeling too good lately so I haven't been sewing much.
I love how it turned out and I'm going to hate to donate it when our guild auction comes around.
But I'm just going to have to suck it up and get over it.  Dang!!  hahaha

Here's a closeup.

I still need to get it quilted but for now I'm setting it aside so I can start on a small wall hanging that a friend wants me to make for her.  This should be fun.

I'm heading on over to Judy's Design Wall Monday to link to her post.
Come on along and join me.
I hope you're having a great day. Glad you stopped by.....Linda

  6. Your quilt is beautiful - I'm impressed!! Silly question - can you keep it and donate something else? Something that didn't take you "forever" to make - and that you don't "have to suck it up get over it"? If not - I really hope that the bidders appreciate the time and effort you put into this - and show their appreciation with an ENORMOUS bid - ;))

    1. LOL Oh don't think I've already mulled that over for sure. But I have so many other projects that I need to concentrate on getting finished that I'm getting used to the idea that it is going away.
And I sure hope it brings in lots of $$$$. haha

  8. I have never done a pineapple quilt: looks like a LOT of work. And I know about giving a quilt away. My favorite quilt is usually the one I am working on and when it is a gift quilt I seriously think about keeping it. But when it is done I quickly pack it up and let it go (I always have pictures) and then move on to my next favorite quilt. ;-) Your quilt is beautiful and I know it will be loved.

    1. Hi Gari. I had to laugh about your remark of it looking like a LOT of work. You're right! It was!!!. I don't know why I thought it would be quick and easy. Well it was easy enough.... but definitely not quick. I think I figured about an hour per block.
Thanks for your sweet comment and your perspective on letting it go. I appreciate it.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
