If it's Monday....

It must be time to check my design wall.
I do have a few pieces of Easy Street up there.   But I'm only showing these three pieces. Actually I have all four corners finished and three of the setting triangles.

I was going along at a pretty regular pace and then suddenly there was another cutting mistake in the pattern.   So at this point I had already had to cut more of the 5½" green squares and now I'm wondering if I'm going to have enough to cut these extra 3½" green.

So yesterday I decided to set Easy Street aside for a bit so I could get started on this years project.  I'm going to try to make each of my 'girls' a Christmas snuggle for this year's Christmas presents.   I can only show you those two strips (at the bottom of the picture) because I'm pretty sure the one I'm making this for reads my blog occasionally.   Or maybe not....but I don't want to take any chances.

So I'm heading over to Judy's to post on her Design Wall Monday and then I'll go to Bonnie's Quiltville's Quips to link to her site.  See you there.

I hope you're having a great day. Glad you stopped by.....Linda

  3. Oh my, been there DID that! Well it's always fun to shop for more fabrics or add some dark greens if you have them? I used both the limey greens and very dark and do like how they both gave to this quilt! Good job and would love to see it when done.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion Dee Cee but I will probably be able to find enough fabric if I scrounge around. It's just the idea of having to backtrack again. Oh well... it's a good thing because I was able to get the basic top finished on the first Christmas snuggle sewn together today. Now to get a border decided on and I'll be back to Easy Street all refreshed.
      Thanks for stopping by.

  4. I can empathize with going along and then, bang --- Don't have everything cut. Been there and done that. What you have done so far is great. Just keep chugging along. It will be fun to see the cuddle quilts next Christmas. Shhh -- We don't know about that!

  5. I made a few cutting mistakes along the way (only myself to blame for not reading carefully). Luckily I have a fairly good stash and was able to cover my oops. Hope you can finish this wonderful quilt.

  6. I guess I am too much of a control freak to be a mystery quilter but this is such a pretty one. I like the block by block construction I guess and lack the risk taking quality of fabric choices. I should be planning next years Christmas gifts NOW myself. Love your quilt blocks and the colors are divine!

  7. Good on you getting a jump for next holiday season. I am saying that about the tree skirts I have planned as I told both couples it would be done for 2013 decorating.

Your quilt is looking good but I hope you don't run out with cutting snafus.
