Half square triangles....

A couple of days ago I was in between projects and really wasn't ready to start another snuggle quilt just yet.
So I started cleaning a small area of my sewing room and as I moved a little plastic drawer.... that was all it took to inspire me.

Enough cleaning..... it was time to play.  These little half squares are over two years old so it's about time I did something with them.
But what???

Well ...... what else except Pinwheels!!

Once I had made several blocks I trimmed them down to 3".
I still hadn't decided exactly what I was going to make with these cute little pinwheels so I just kept sewing and sewing.

Then I pulled some white fabric and cut a 1" strip to use as sashing.

Yep!  That works.....

Stay tuned ...... Today I plan on getting this little project finished and hopefully get started on the quilting.

I hope you're having a great day.
 Glad you stopped by.....Linda

  1. Oooooooooohhhh!! Is this going to be another entry in our little "Race"???? - ;))

  2. No I don't think so. I think I'm going to donate it for our guild Auction in Oct. We're supposed to donate at least three things so at least this will get me started.
I'm working on the quilting right now and it's looking cute.

  3. Pinwheels are adorable - they will make a perfect donation quilt.

    1. Especially since they are all the 'leftover' half squares from a red & white quilt I made a couple of years ago. These little cuties were just sitting there waiting for me. haha
Thanks for stopping by Ellen and I hope you have a great weekend.

  4. Hey there Linda! Nothin' prettier than pinwheels especially if they are red and white.

    1. That's for sure! heehee Good to 'see' you again. I thought you had fallen of the face so it's good to see that you are still around. Thanks for stopping in and you have a great weekend.

I try to always reply back to anyone that takes their precious time to comment on my blog so I sure hope you have your email enabled.
