So here it is one week later and I've made the last four blocks and have all of them squared up and cut in fourths for the next step.
As I told you there was more to this than just the square blocks.
One day as I was lazily browsing blogs I came upon this one that showed how she made a Modified Bento Box.  I had just ordered the fabric from Connecting Threads so when I saw this pattern I knew right away this would be just perfect!!
Here's as far as I've gotten so far.  These 6 squares aren't sewn together yet and will not necessarily be in this order.  But it works for now so I can post over on Judy's Design Wall Monday.
Be sure to go check out what the other quilters have been doing.

Thanks for stopping by....Linda

  2. I love the bright bold colors....and the geometric of the pattern just makes it pop! You said your fabric was from Connecting Threads....where you happy with it? It's been ahwile since I've tried their fabric...the price is great....I have some of their batiks...a little thinner, but not bad...and the colors worked very well.

    1. I'm sad! I was about to respond to your comment with an email and I realized that you are a "No Reply" blogger. I always try to email an answer to anyone that takes the time to leave me a message on one of my posts. I appreciate all comments so I'm going to post an answer here with the slight hope that you will be back to read it.
Thanks so much for stopping by Cheryl. YES! I love Connecting Threads. Their service is wonderful and the prices can't be beat for the quality of fabric they sell. I'll usually try to support my two brick & mortar quilt stores first if I can....but then I'll order from CT. Have never been disappointed yet. I don't have a lot of batiks so I can't compare them but I sure have been more than satisfied with the quality of all fabric I've purchased so far.
