My First Shawl

I've just recently decided I wanted to start crocheting again.  I used to do it a lot before I started quilting.  But back then I pretty much only made blanket throws.  So that got boring and took way to long so I put up my hooks and called it good.

But that was then and this is Now and I unpacked those hooks and now I'm making my first shawl.  There are so many new patterns to choose from.  And Ravelry is just fantastic.  It's a site for 'anything' yarn related and I've just recently joined and worked up my own Notebook.  Of course I've spent hours and hours just browsing and picking patterns that I want to make.

My 1st project is a shawl named  Virus meets Granny shawl .  I chose Unforgettable yarn from Red Heart in colorway Echo .  The picture does not do it justice at all.  The colors are much richer and the yarn is sooo soft.
This is the first picture taken several days ago and I've added several rows to it and when I just quickly count I think I have around 20 more rows to go.

So for now..... Have a great day. And stitch happy!

  2. Hi there! Yes it has been a long time but don't let this picture fool you. I haven't been busy at all. Unless you count Dr appt's which seem to be the norm for us now. :( I seem to have lost my mojo with quilting for now. I'm sure I'll get it back soon. For now I'm enjoying the slow enjoyment of crochet. Thanks for stopping by Kitty.
