Design Wall Monday....
I finished my Easy Street top last week and now I'm working on a border that I want to put on mine. I didn't want to just slap a piece of fabric on it and call it good so as I was sewing the blocks I started pondering what I could do. It didn't take me long to decide so I'm hoping it won't take long to get it sewn together. This top (so far) was so big that my design wall wouldn't hold it so I had to lay it out on my dining room floor. Once I get the borders added I don't know where I'll be able to take a picture. Oh well I'll figure that out when I get there.
I hope you're having a great day.
Glad you stopped by.....Linda
Looking oh so good, Linda! That was one of the earlier mystery quilts that she does this time of year, right? And with a bazillion small pieces in it, you brave quilter!
ReplyDeleteYes Linda. It's called Easy Street. Last years mystery. I was going to do this years too but I just couldn't decide on the right colors so I decided I'd rather finish this one and spend next year working on my own quilts.
DeleteAnd you're right again.... it does have a bazillion pieces. haha
Congratulations on your finish.....looks lovely.
ReplyDeletethanks Billie. I'm hoping it will be even better after I get the border on. But that may be awhile since we're so close to Christmas and I have so many other priorities right now.
DeleteA top so big that it won't fit on your design wall? - Hmmmm - sounds familiar - haha - ;)) It looks GREAT!! Can't wait to see what you do for borders - mine still needs the blocks finished - ;))
ReplyDeletehaha yep! and the thing is.... I don't even have a hall that would work. ;-)
DeleteThanks. I'm hoping after Christmas I can get back to it and get it finished. I'm ready!! Looking forward to seeing yours.
