Last year I was working on Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street mystery and for some reason I reached a stand-still. I put it all away to do something else.
Soooo since it's about time for her to start this year's mystery (and because I have my stash all organized nicely) I figured it would be a good time to get it all back out and see how far along I can get it.
I have all the pieces cut and sections sewn together already. All that is left to do is sew up the blocks. I don't think that should take me too long to do. hahaha
Linking up to Judy's Design Wall Monday.
I hope you're having a great day.
Glad you stopped by.....Linda
Yes, the assembly of the Blocks should go quick. I am so glad my Easy Street got finished in March this year. I am working still on the quilt I started in her class at Block Party. I wish I'd made the border units as I was sewing the block parts. Patiently waiting for the next Mystery. Making the smaller version.
ReplyDeleteThey should go quickly for most people Mary. But I'm a real slowpoke. haha I think I'm going to be making the smaller version too. Of course I'm notorious for changing my mind.
DeleteHave a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Looks like you are well underway. Just put on some good music and watch those pieces fly together! I love your colour choices on this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Louisa. These colors have been very easy to work with. Relaxing. And I do love to have music playing. Much better than having the TV on for sure. And I don't think any of my pieces can "fly together". They may scoot along slowly .... haha
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Your wall looks so very familiar. I think I will get my Easy Street out where I can see it so that when I get frustrated with the new mystery it can remind me that I CAN do it, I just have to keep plugging away. ;-)
ReplyDeletehaha For sure Gari. We can do this. After all .... they are just squares and half squares. Right?
DeleteWe just have to keep sewing. Just keep sewing. lol
It's going to be stunning.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary.
DeleteI want to play with my Easy Street, too - but I need to finish my LHQSQ first - because someone I know said that I should keep on keepin' on and finish it - haha - ;))
ReplyDeleteAwww Yes. That was a very wise woman indeed. Maybe we could race to see who can get finished first. ;o)

ReplyDeleteThat is such a great pattern - keep at it and it will be a gorgeous finished quilt! I did not participate in the QAL but I did download the pattern for future.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen. I like both blocks and could see using either of the single block patterns for a quilt. Not that I'd be doing that in the near future though. hahaha
DeleteHave a great day Ellen.
