But I can show you the next #2 snuggle I'm making. This one is for one of the grands.
I started with fabric that had several different snowman scenes printed on it. After cutting out each block I went to EQ and tried several different blocks until I finally settled on this setting. I wanted something simple and easy. And this is that for sure.
All of the sashing geese are made and I'm now in the process of putting it all together. We're forcast for another winter storm so it looks like I'll have plenty of time to work on this one this week.
Now that I have something on my wall that I can actually share I'm heading over to Judy's Patchwork Times and link to her Design Wall Monday post.
Grab your cup and let's go visiting.....
I hope you're having a great day. Glad you stopped by.....Linda
Looks great. Stay safe and warm up there. The snow has started here already but we should get a bit less than you.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Snowmen blocks!! Is it an entry in our little "Race"? If not - it should be - it's Christmasey and cute. And it's very fitting considering the weather forecast in your area. Please stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteThat setting might work for my Gingerbread Men - do you mind if I steal/borrow/try/use it? - ;))
Oh gosh darn it!! I didn't think of that when I posted. Of course it could fit in our race. I was just tickled that I finally had something to post for a change.
DeleteAnd by all means yes you can borrow it. It's a simple block with flying geese & cornerstones for the sashing.
Looks like you are working on an appropriately themed quilt for your weather. I have a snowman quilt that needs quilting but every time I look at it I get cold so I guess it will go on the frame in the summer.
ReplyDeletehahaha That's funny. I hope it works for you.
DeleteAs for this quilt....it's #2 out of six I have to make for the girls for Christmas this year so I'm trying to get an early start.
You just gave me a great idea! I have that fabric and couldn't decide what to do with it. May put it closer to the top of the list and play with it to see what I can come up with!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have as much fun with your's as I am with this one. The snowmen are all so cute don't you think? This is the easiest one of all of the six I want to get finished by Christmas this year.
DeleteI love the blocks. The pattern is perfect to show off the snowmen.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. I fell in love with the fabric and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. And it's coming out just like I planned.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
